BLACKBURN AND SWEETZER

Unfortunately, this is the best picture I captured before my camera ran out of juice at the Cosa Nostra by Jeffrey Sebelia fall ‘07 show, held last night at the 2121 Lofts downtown. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed by the season three Project Runway winner, especially the men’s. Stand-outs for women included short, fitted leather jackets that didn’t try to be too rock ‘n’ roll and an array of knits with texture, including a loose black boyfriend sweater which I could see throwing on with half my closet. The short dresses - a black pleated number comes to mind - were more successful than their longer counterparts. I didn’t get the best look at the denim, but my cohort liked the gray skinny jeans. Here’s to hoping everyone loses the skull and crossbones by next season. I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all had enough.
