Just west of Sweetzer, at 8310-8312 Beverly Boulevard, stands a new commercial/residential space in all its concrete glory. Set across the street from Beverly Hills Health & Fitness (oddly, not in Beverly Hills at all), Scent Bar, and Lanny Nails, the 4,000-square-foot divisible retail/restaurant space came available in February, according to the South Park Group’s site, and is leasing for $5 per square foot. The 1,500 square-foot loft spaces - not sure how many are available - are also now available, each billed as a “dramatic two level loft with 18-foot exposed truss ceiling, patio, skylight, fully air-conditioned, Jacuzzi tub, with high-end kitchen appliances”. The cost to get loft-y on Beverly? It’s leasing for $5,100/month. And I thought the three-bedroom apartment rental down the street was insanely over-priced at $3,500/month.
On the southeast corner of Beverly and Sweetzer, there will be yet another restaurant. I don’t know what it is about that space, nothing seems to stick. I caught up with a guy working on the site and he said it was going to be BBQ.
