In the Bag, Seven For All Mankind

As much as I’m a fan of Seven For All Mankind jeans, I was skeptical when I heard the denim label was coming out with a collection of handbags. Now available in-store and online, I have to admit, I’m a fan of bags too, particularly the styles shown above (clockwise from top left: Samantha Carry All; Small Doctor Bag; Large Doctor Bag; Donna Hobo Bag). Ranging from $475-$575, my only beef is the price point. Yes, in comparison to bank-breaking thousands, it’s reasonable, but I’m ready for the fevered pitch of luxe - status bags and status jeans, especially - to be dead.

Which doesn’t mean I won’t absolutely check out the new and first-ever Seven For All Mankind boutique that will hit Robertson in November-ish 2007, according to WWD’s April 12th story. The new shop, featuring the full men’s and women’s lines will take the space of what is currently Scott Hill, making it even easier to swoop up a pair of Seven jeans and a handbag for nearly $1,000.
