Event: Cake Jewelry Los Feliz Opens

May 14th, 2007 · No Comments

Multi-designer boutique Cake Jewelry has expanded from its Melros
e Avenue bungalow; its second location, a gallery-like space at 4649 Russell Avenue in Los Feliz, is so close to Fred 62 you can waddle on over for some Cake even after the most intense face-stuffing session. And, thankfully, an expanded waistline will not hinder taking the merch for a spin around necks, wrists, fingers, ears, etc. The shop is having its grand opening shindig Tuesday, May 15th from 6:00PM-10:00PM with small bites and cocktails. Prices range from $60-$200, with a few pieces between $300-$400. Collections to look for include Mushka’s sterling, brass, and copper pendants and charms, Alex Dewi’s fine-knit earrings and necklaces, Spangle’s Indian-influenced dangle-y earrings and bracelets, Material Things carved-out cuff bracelets, and Cake’s new vintage line. RSVP to cakejewelry@gmail.com with attendees’ full names.

The storefront is deceptively small; inside it’s high-ceilinged and expansive.
