Neiman Marcus is banking on celebrity-obsessed shoppers for its recent email blast featuring a virtually identical ensemble. The neckline’s the difference on the Nina Ricci dress NM currently stocks ($2,890), and the high-priced store has swapped in Christian Louboutin satin d-Orsay sandals ($580) for Atwood’s stunners. Hm, looks like an incredibly expensive Halloween costume to me. Seriously, who would buy and wear this outfit? Anyone not Reese Witherspoon would look like an idiot trying to pull it off. And if Reese wore it again, every tab would have to comment on her wearing the same look twice since there aren’t any other pressing national or global issue we should be paying attention to. Neiman’s is pulling a thinly-veiled Kitson, which is almost more annoying. Just be honest; plaster Reese’s face all over the page and be done with it.
