Flashback From My Shoe Shopping Past

Is it just me, or does this remind you of going to try on shoes as a child? The salesperson would sit on an ottoman shaped like this one and you’d put your foot in the metal foot measurer. Brave Space Design has created this architectural maple/walnut and upholstered chair and ottoman ($1,850 for the chair; $2,300 for the chair and ottoman), currently available online at Design Public. Design elements of note include recessed cushions and storage spaces - you could put all kinds of stuff in the tapezoidal hollow space of the ottoman and even fit a couple magazines in the slit in the seat of the chair. Lots of color options too: from neutrals like graphite, cream, taupe, smoke, and dune to colors that pop like teal Caribbean, lime, sage, sky blue, and yellow-gold. At these steep prices, Brave Space could throw in my eternal youth gratis to sweeten the deal.
