I’m a Des Kohan fan - that boutique just north of Wilshire on Cloverdale, helmed by owner/buyer/designer Desiree Kohan, who (because some people do seem to have it all) also happens to be gorgeous and incredibly sweet. Last night was a preview of London designer Osman Yousefzada’s fall/winter ‘07 collection, carried exclusively at Des Kohan in the U.S., and the place was packed enough to find yourself gulping Dubbonet to stay cool. The collection plays with volume and structure in unexpected ways. Dresses are short, necessitating a very nice set of legs to go with that billowy femininity.
Osman Yousefzada dresses.
The obsession of the night though were all the leather accessories, including these reversible bucket bags by Bare with zippers on both sides ($820, available in-store and online at deskohan.com).
Bare designer Jeet Sohal was actually at the event; that’s her hand showing us all the different ways to wear the bag. The other obsession were Annie Costello Brown’s braided and knotted leather necklaces ($180-$262, available in-store).
More necklaces in different colors.
Also, love these leather belts by Des Kohan ($195-$235, available in-store and online at deskohan.com).
