I’m loving these jeans from Aussie label 18th Amendment, available at lagarconne.com. The top pair is called the ‘Colbert’ ($220), which just makes me laugh; I don’t know if it has anything to do with one Mr. Stephen Colbert, but given that the label is named after the only repealed amendment establishing the prohibition of alcohol, it seems like the peeps behind the line have to have a sense of humor. Other styles include the ‘Bacall’ ($228, bottom left) and the ‘Lollobrigida’ ($220, bottom right).

As much as I would like to think that they were naming these after Stephen, given the names of the other two styles (’Bacall’ and ‘Lollobrigida’) I would have to guess that they probably had Claudette Colbert in mind.
