At full price, I find JCrew generally too expensive for what it is. But what’s new about that? I feel that way about so much of what’s out there. The thing about JCrew is that every season, without fail, there are a handful of pieces that I really, really like… and then I wait and hope they go on sale in my size. Scrolling through the latest in prepster chic, I came upon the Lia Shirtdress with its ruffled top and hem in an understated navy cotton plaid. The fitted bodice and deep ‘V’ neckline save it from being too cutesy and add quiet sex appeal. It’s $185. Let’s hope for a sale and that no one thinks it’s as fantastic as I do.

That’s really cute! I feel the same way about JCrew. I always think I’ll just wait for a sale but then I just end up forgetting.
