BLACKBURN AND SWEETZER

For some reason I’ve had a block about this event. I kept meaning to put it up and then would forget, and then I thought maybe it didn’t matter because everyone’s been posting about it, but whatever, here it is, last minute, and likely old news. But it is just down the way. Tonight, Thursday, August 16th, 6:00PM-8:00PM, the creators of J Brand jeans will be at Barneys CO-OP at The Grove with the label’s latest. I know the jeans are slimming, but you gotta love the tiny, tiny women the industry gets to model. If they had someone like me model these things, there would be steep, steep decline in sales. I can just imagine. Yeah, that’s exactly what my belly looks like exposed in a pair of super-skinny jeans. And I’m not someone to blame the media for anorexia or any of that bullsh*t. I just think it’s kind of comical because we buy into the hype. Jeans that will make my legs look like the size of my arms? Give me ten pairs. And do you have some sort of full skin-hued bodysuit I could just throw on everyday with the same effect? I’ll take seven for each day of the week. What, $300 each? OK, make it a dirty dozen… less washing.
