Known for its men’s swimsuits - from long to mid-length to hit-the-beach in St. Tropez tiny - Parke & Ronen will be adding on to its NYC boutique with a West Coast flagship at 8012 1/2 Melrose Avenue either later this month or early September. That’s the stretch between Crescent Heights and Fairfax, which is slowly but surely becoming more and more dense. I remember speaking with the owners of Fitzsu Society years ago and they said it was hard to get people to leave Fred Segal and walk down the way. I say, shoppers that don’t leave Fred Segal are lame anyway, but now they really have no excuse. Creatures of Comfort alone should be enough incentive to leave the trendy comforts of Fred Segal.
