Thursday, September 13th, from 6:00PM-8:00PM, head over to Taschen at The Grove for a tiki party, replete with Mai-Tai bar, tiki music, and Sven Kirsten, author of Tiki Modern ($39.95, taschen.com), the follow-up to his Book of Tiki (also put out by Taschen). His latest tiki tome is all about the collision of Tiki style and mid-century modernism, which sounds crazy and awesome. Event is free, books are not. Kirsten will be there pen-ready.
