I braved my way winding up Benedict Canyon to then catch an SUV up to a Beverly Hills manse to Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge, a gifting mecca for the Emmy Awards. The lounge, filled with beauty, food, fashion, handbags, jewelry, baby stuff, and more, was set on multiple levels and outside overlooking a spectac view. It was way up there in the hills, the type of curvy drive that you don’t want to ever tackle post-cocktails, which were definitely flowing. Above and below are some highlights.
I didn’t drink anything, but I did try the Chocolate Box chocolates (top left) - the ginger ganache was amazing. Spread offers over a hundred different types of peanut butters (top right), from dark chocolate (very yummy) to cookies and cream.
The RBK Scarlett Johansson collection is very cute and youthful. Even this simple sweater on the right is incredibly wearable. I love the way she admittedly doesn’t even really ever workout, because, let’s be honest, this is about fashion not working out, which is fine by me.
Maidenform was there with plenty of comfy, sweet bras and panties in ice cream hues.
New handbag line Camenae was there. What’s unique about the collection - made in Italian leather with a soft structured look - is that you can change the straps to slightly alter the look of the bag. Had a good chat with the decidedly stylish PR reps with Camenae, which is always a bonus.
Red Earth Cosmetics are incredibly functional with instructions included in a little plate inside the palettes. Hues are saturated and pretty. Activage, a Japanese brand, uses Ocean Placenta (extracted from Salmon Ovary Peptide using biotechnology, per the packaging) in its products.
Amarin Aromatherapy is a product line from Israel. The moisturizer and toner spritz I tried were fantastic with a fresh, mild scent, not perfume-y at all. V-Moda headphones are sleek and unobtrusive and do have excellent sound. The company was very smart and produced a dual headphone/headset for the iPhone.
Big rocks from Tacori. Tacori also makes these delicate, almost lacy, almost floral rings and necklaces that are gorgeous. Wayf was represented at the event via Kin boutique on Sunset Plaza
Linden Leaves bath and body is a line made from ingredients from New Zealand. On the right are the Wet & Dry Ceramic Tourmaline Irons from iTech.
Cards and reversible wrapping paper from Whimsy Press. Totally adorable and the Whimsy Press ladies were very friendly and cool.
Booty Parlor products galore, which ranges from frilly underthings to edible powder with a little sparkle to a vibrating ring that can be put around a lot of things… A baby set by Plain Mary, which melds luxe fabrics while keeping baby safety a top priority.
