BLACKBURN AND SWEETZER

When I saw that the Little Knittery had moved to Atwater Village, I came across the sad info that Steinberg & Sons - a Los Feliz boutique institution at this point - is closing on October 31st. From the shop’s myspace page:

‘Steinberg & Sons will be closing October 31st, 2007. Our lease will be coming to an end, and this lovely building may be demolished to expand House of Pies. We appreciate the loyalty and support from all of our customers and friends, and will keep you posted on our online blog as to what we are up to and things we discover along the way.’

Really, the House of Pies is expanding? Isn’t the House of Pies big enough?Do we need more space to gobble up pies? I’m not in Los Feliz all that much, but when I am, Steinberg & Sons is one of the boutiques I always go to.
