Rodan vs Griffith
once again proved they know how to throw a party with margaritas, Tecate, really friggin good tacos, music, and a $5 sample bin (which is still there for the taking!). First, the tacos: all I’m saying is if you are going to have a party Tacos Teresa is the way to go (323-233-7512; 323-574-2872). I don’t know how much it costs for all-night tacos, but, wow, they were good. Teresa came in her sedan, simply unpacked the stove top (not sure what you’d call it; it’s like an inverted wok at the top for perfect tortilla cooking), the meat (chicken, beef, pork) and onions for grilling, fresh accompaniments (salsa, cilantro, lemon wedges, cut radishes, etc.), and went to it. I’d love to know the concoction for the meat seasoning, as it was a burst of flavor. Even the rail thin barely-20s girls were eating two and three tacos. Yum.

Inside, Let’s Go Sailing played a kind of moody, sweet girl sound with keyboard, guitar, and violin. This band might have the tallest and tiniest females around, which they seem to balance by the keyboardist/vocalist being seated - you’ll certainly never forget them.

Rodan vs Griffith is going to make these par-tays a monthly thing, so look forward to the next one.
