So, what’s with the restaurant names on 3rd Street? First, Food Court L.A., now 8486 Cafe… at 8486 W. 3rd St., just east of La Cienega. You picture two people brainstorming restaurant name ideas, and then just saying f*ck it, 8486 Cafe, let’s have lunch. Was it the Chicken Cafe that used to be there? I can’t remember. At any rate, the new address cafe is open from 6:30AM-9:00PM and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The most expensive menu items are $11.95, but most are in the $7-$9 range. Though I have yet to try it out, the American menu is big with three pages of omelets, cold and hot sandwiches, wraps, pizza, salads, and dinner entrees. The space is simple and open and looks good for a quick bite.
