I pretty much avoid Hollywood & Highland like the plague. Why, besides the touristy annoyances? It’s a nightmare to go there. So, as much as I’m not a fan of the mega-complex, I appreciate that Global Inheritance’s Public Displays of Affection series is trying to get people to use public transportation. Liverpool’s Ladytron and Great Northern will be performing, along with DJ Taina and the TRASHed: Art of Recycling Exhibit from 7:00PM-10:00PM - the price of admission is an incoming bus or subway ticket. Hm, too bad there isn’t an easy access subway from here. Yes, I know, I could bus it (which involves a transfer) and then take the subway from Wilshire and La Brea, but that’s too much work in my book. I want a subway and I want it to be easy. I want to walk to, say, 3rd and La Cienega or 3rd and Fairfax, or even down to Wilshire a few blocks and get on and get off a few blocks from wherever I need to be - that’s convenience.
