The lines between editorial and commerce continue to blur, particularly online. J.Crew shot its spring ‘08 collection at the Neutra-designed Kaufmann House in Palm Springs; its subsequent email blast links to ‘behind the scenes’ of the photo shoot. It’s really just a flash montage of photos and outtakes, but interesting how it truly is selling a lifestyle - even a house. Check this NYT article, which has a good slideshow of the modernist home.
