On our last post about the Blackburn Duplex at 8241 and 8245, we thought there was potentially a remodel going on, but a commenter indicated that wasn’t the case, stating simply: “It is completely gone now.” Oh, yes it is. Just a pile of rubble is left. You can see to the alley right behind West 3rd Street. Some resident on the block told the husband that the structure to take its place it taller than the neighboring buildings. And the same commenter wrote further: “apparently he’s building a 3 story, many unit apartment building.”

Be on the lookout for something ugly and soulless and cheap. And overpriced.

Oops, I posted this on the wrong entry. Here’s what I wrote:
I heard from someone who knows the new owner that he’s building this for his two sons families. I’m not sure what that means exactly. She also used to be a tenant in one of his buildings (so the duplex/son thing could be off the mark). Coincidentally she now lives a few houses away from this property.
