I agree Sol. There are a surprising number of McCain signs. But just because this is a mostly Democrat area it's not entirely. Four years ago after the election we went out for some comfort food to help ease our sorrows and the restaraunt was empty and the staff was depressed also. Then a joyous group of old happy Republicans came in. I can only imagine what the staff may have done to the food.

The number of McCain Palin signs on the residential streets here surprises me. I didn't expect to see any. There are some McCain people in the neighborhood.

I think it is a big step backward for any woman to vote for McCain/Palin simply because there is a woman on the ticket. Had Hilary been the Democratic nominee, they would have chosen a black man, and they would be painting Hilary as merely a puppet of Bill, and "Bill's Third Term".

Sarah Palin is not a Feminist; she is a fringe figure who practices the Politics of Personal Interest; therefore, she is for women's rights because that helps her get ahead. This is why she allowed her husband to use the Governor's office to harass her nasty former brother in-law. That is why she cut funding for the Special Olympics in Alaska, but now that her family is personally affected, she favors increased funding and attention toward children with special needs. Everyone has a back story that colors their decisions, but if you only see things according to how you personally benefit, you shouldn't represent other people.

Hate to say it, but linking to them just helps them. You could un-link your previous post so that a) people don't click it and b) Google doesn't consider them as important.

That site is pathetic, but so is the whole McCain/Palin campaign of distraction and peripheral issues. I assume they know they can't win on the real governing issues, so the work the nonsense. Frankly, the democrats could easily hit back (and they do occasionally) but Obama is great at rising above and keeping the discussion to matters that really affect people and the country.
