Economy is down, so crime is up. This morning the Washington Mutual at Beverly and Fairfax was robbed and there’s “at least one suspect,” per the LAT’s LA Now blog.
Apparently, police and FBI hit the scene at 10:40am. The perp had already fled by the time they arrived. No one was injured. Photo from CBS 2

I was in the neighborhood on November 26th when it all went down. When I heard about the robbery yesterday that was my first thought. Same branch? http://laist.com/2008/11/26/wamu_bank_robbed_near_the_grove.php
