Looks from RVCA
Word on the street—literally, I bumped into former Known LA owner Moonshine on West 3rd who had the following news—is that RVCA is taking the former SLB space at 501 North Fairfax Avenue.
Apparently, SLB owner/skater Sal Barbier is going to focus on wholesaling now. The Hundreds was thinking about taking the space (which is considerably bigger than its tiny space on Rosewood), but RVCA swooped in with the better [a good offer before The Hundreds made one]. RVCA—a kind of action sports/artist collective and lifestyle brand for men and women—got some extra fashion attention recently after model Erin Wasson designed a collection for them. This is an interesting development for streetwear/skate-centric Fairfax, as RVCA is a biggish brand which has a broader appeal than the niche-heavy neighborhood.
