In case you haven’t heard, as a result of a 2003 lawsuit against major department stores, starting January 20, stores such as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s have to pony up $175 million worth of beauty products nationwide to customers—one item per cosmetics company, Chanel, L’Oreal, Lancome included.
Per Fashionista, “it seems some of the big name stores were purposely holding back inventory to up the price of high end beauty products.” Check the blog for the full list of stores and cosmetics companies. But just within walking distance of our neighborhood, count in Bloomie’s, Nordstrom and Macy’s. Seriously, this is no joke, you could leave with a hefty sack of beauty booty.
