Just a note. Yesterday, I went by the Hollywood Trading Company on Beverly Boulevard to get some jeans repaired and was told it would take nine rather than the standard seven days to get the jeans back.
OK, whatever, fine. Guy told me this past weekend HTC got bombarded with repairs, his take being that, given the economy, people are having their $200 jeans repaired rather than buying another $200 pair of jeans. He then showed me a picture of the tattered pile that came in.
My thought was, good, people are making the most of their wares, which, bad economy or not, we all should be doing anyway. My second thought was, are people up for buying $200 jeans in general? How much are you willing to spend on a pair of jeans these days? Photo from Flickr/.Mads.

ugg i have 2 pairs of 200 dollar jeans, and a pair of 180 dollar jeans. I will typically buy one pair a year and wear them till they are completely out dated.
