The first day at BoxEight continued on with the goth and grunge vibe that was so prevalent at Gen Art yesterday evening. Lots of blacks and greys (COA for guys, martinMartin for guys and gals, Skingraft for gals only); leather (Skingraft had some intricate, well constructed pieces, yet definitely not made for the mainstream); and tight, tight pants for men (COA had several good ones).

And following the trend of NYC, Paris and Milan, some ‘80s influences were present as well: stone washed jeans (COA had them tinted a soft rose color, patches of them were used in Future Heretics), off-the-shoulder dresses in bright colors (Laeken), and big hair (Skingraft and Smoke & Mirrors).

Though it was the more timeless pieces that left the best impression: a checkered uniform jacket with hood from Smoke & Mirrors as well as fluid, restrained ensembles, spider web knitwear from martinMartin.
