Laptop chic in canvas, pretty tie dye and saturated leather; click to expand
Taylor de Cordoba gallery in Culver City has become a go-to spot for stellar events during LA Fashion Week, this season being a presentation and trunk show of designer Clare Vivier’s Vivier collection of handbags, laptop bags, clutches, iPhone pouches and totes.
The story goes, Vivier was on the road as a journalist for French TV, toting her laptop everywhere and less than pleased about what was in the market for laptop cases, so she fashioned a padded envelope herself. More cases came in crisp canvas, incredibly functional and chic. Now there are all sorts of locally-made goodies (around $49-$200)—bags in vintage zebra-print canvas, glossy handbags in remnant leather or delicate perforated leather clutches, and Vivier’s favorite of the moment, tie dye options which are not the slightest bit boho. Find the line at Confederacy, Fred Segal Flair, Mohawk General Store or online.
More bags, the party and art this way…
