Goodwill at 7919 Beverly Boulevard, just west of Fairfax in the former Shoe Pavilion space is getting in gear for its Friday, May 8—Sunday, May 10 grand opening weekend. Doors will open at 9am, with the weekend featuring an opportunity to win an LCD flat screen, $10 gift certificate with purchase of $50 or more, and a sort of treasure hunt with ‘200 free assorted items hidden throughout the store.’ Also, a balloon guy will be around for the kids.
When I stopped by yesterday, a significant team of staffers was busy stocking the place, and there looks to be a lot of merch.

Is the LCD flat screen new or used?
Why two Goodwills so close to each other on Beverly Blvd? There’s one at Croft, too !

Actually, the one at Beverly and Croft is only a drop-off donation station; nothing is for purchase. And there was no indication as to whether the flat screen in new or used…
