Blackburn + Sweetzer Has Moved

So, after scouring the more easterly part of Melrose Avenue toward Fairfax, I ventured west heading toward La Cienega.

I came upon incoming Xooro first at [8]107* Melrose Avenue, a gourmet churros spot, with an outpost already in Santa Monica. Then on the stretch just west of Marc by Marc Jacobs, saw that Nanette Lepore has shuttered, consolidating to its Robertson Boulevard boutique. Popped in to Max & Co. and was told that Vera Wang is not only supposed to be opening up on the north side of the street but also in the space beside Le Sportsac—both are apparently ‘on hold’ for the moment. And then there’s label Phi, which Racked LA reported will be moving into the former Blue House space at the corner of Croft and Melrose.

Across the street, next to DVF, there’s the pretty former antiques shop (shown after the jump), built like a house, or perhaps a former home—word was it was going to be Lanvin, per a DVF staffer, but the fashion house opted out. Both DVF and Max & Co. staff said they’d welcome a cafe with outdoor dining in the space (there’s a front space but also a back area as well) instead for, hopefully, added foot traffic, but also for an additional lunch option.

*Note: It looks like the ‘8′ is missing in the address on the storefront of Xoora.
