I was alerted to the discrepancy in signage on West 3rd Street. Note the sign reads “2 Hour Parking 8am to 6pm Except Sunday”; while the info on the actual parking meters has changed, now parkers are responsible to pay Mon-Sat 8am-8pm and Sunday 11am-8pm. Would these tickets be enforceable? I would guess the vast majority of drivers rely on the signs for parking instructions, not the itty-bitty print on the meters.
UPDATE: Per Laist, LADOT spokesperson Bruce Gilman has said: “It would be inappropriate [to ticket] without the new signs.”

As if you could find a meters spot after the valets open up and take them all over.
