After posting last week about chef Laurent Quenioux’s upcoming Bistro LQ taking over Mimosa’s space on Beverly (west of Fairfax) and Suzanne Tracht’s Suzpree to open at Beverly and Ogden (east of Fairfax), the Daily Dish reports that Pastis at 8114 Beverly Boulevard will be closing the first week of June and reopening under new ownership in mid-August as a cafe called Home House .
Pastis owner Steven Kim told the blog: “it’s simply a matter of economics: Business has slowed to a crawl. Kim hasn’t decided whether he’ll stay in the restaurant business and says he has no set plans for the future.”
