For some reason, I’ve had a mental block about posting the Moods of Norway opening a couple weeks back. When I saw the photos again today after mentioning below, I felt compelled to get it up, if only to note the very pretty, always stylish photog shown above. I’ve seen her out a bunch of times and, without fail, she looks fantastic.
The boutique is decked with tractor, mountainous scenes, skis, woodsy detailing and lotsa plaid, which was in full effect at the opening—seriously, so many guys in plaid suits with cropped pants. There was also Perez Hilton, whom, whenever I see, looks a bit uncomfortable and self-conscious, but was open to me snapping his pic in Moods of Norway track jacket. The owners—Simen Staalnacke, Stefan Dahlkvist and Peder Borresen—are extremely energetic. I spoke with Borresen for a while, and he was very friendly and happy to report that the business has grown 110% in the last year, which is pretty impressive for an economic downturn.
