Have yet to try, but Tart at 115 South Fairfax Avenue at the Farmer’s Daughter Hotel has some new menu additions, including crispy alligator, marinated in buttermilk and Cajun seasoning, and five ’southern’ pizzas—cheese lover; wild mushroom and eggplant; crisp arugula; shrimp and spinach; and jambalaya, the last of which is the only one that seems southern with smoked chicken andouille, alligator sausage, blackened chicken, red onions, bell peppers, red chili flakes, tomato sauce and mozzarella.

I haven’t tried it, but I walked by the other day and it smelled delicious. Perhaps it’s time to give it a shot?
