Thursday night Christina (who also took these lovely photos) and I hit up Taylor De Cordoba (2660 South La Cienega Boulevard, Culver City) for the opening night of ‘LA Fashion Bloom’—a pop-up boutique the gallery is hosting through Saturday, August 8, featuring LA designers
Annie Costello Brown (tactile necklaces and bracelets made from pearls, leather, chains and other intriguing bits), Jesse Kamm (substantial cottons in earthly prints for a safari-esque vibe), Gregory Parkinson (gorgeous silk dresses, tunics and tops in painterly florals and pretty, pretty tie-dye), Clare Vivier (the handbags/accessories designer behind my beloved La Tropezianne) and Melissa Coker of Wren (dresses, skater skirts, tops with flounce, emanating a youthful, sophisticated city style).

Gallery owners Heather Taylor and Alex De Cordoba, per usual, have done a fantastic job setting up the space, which (also per usual) garnered a cultivated crowd for the opening, which benefited org PS Arts.

The merch, more photos!

We were particularly taken with Gregory Parkinson’s floaty dresses (some as low as $175-$200), inducing beachy fantasies I haven’t been able to shake off.

Clare Vivier introduced new styles to lust after—the summer tote in gold or silver, a vertical magazine-sized shopper with well-placed studs below the handles.

And, on display for my wanting, Annie Costello Brown puffy leather knotted or braided chokers I’ve been eyeing for ages. Also of note, jewel-tone Wren dresses with bat wing sleeves and an unexpectedly sexy open back and Jesse Kamm tortoise print wrap dresses.

I get it, pop-ups feel a dime a dozen these days, but to this one, I say go, go, go!
