Blackburn + Sweetzer Has Moved

Prompted by Vionnet’s lovely inspiration wall, I headed over to the 158 North Robertson Boulevard boutique last weekend to check out the goods. Manager Sabrina Shimada couldn’t have been more welcoming (sweetly mentioning my visit on the shop’s blog) while I browsed the carefully curated racks and shelves. Among the Margarita Saplala dresses and skirts in fabulous prints, in-house label Decolette’s loose-and-sexy pieces (which, by the way, is definitely not an oxymoron here) and vintage-y chunky necklaces from Vera Wang, Elizabeth Cole and Nicole Romano, were these Deco-meets-’80s-glitz clutches by Inge Christopher, a range which hovers around $180-$250. I like Shimada’s move—she frequently pairs evening bags with a simple tee, jeans and heels for day. Such versatility justifies this kind of purchase, no?
