Eats—Proof is in the Cupcake, Magnolia Bakery to West 3rd and Orlando!

So, Magnolia Bakery’s PR would confirm the NYC cupcake spot’s entrance into the LA market, but wouldn’t confirm the location. Now, the evidence is in the window at 8389 West 3rd Street at the corner of Orlando Avenue with multiple signs in the storefront. Magnolia owner Steve Abrams and president Bobbie Lloyd were on hand this afternoon, along with a team of construction workers cleaning out the space, which feels much more expansive now that it’s empty. Abrams said to expect a mid-January opening.

    I’m all for more sweets but I hope this doesn’t impact indie bakers just down the street like JOANS or KISS MY BUNDT

    I hope they offer some gluten-free items. Otherwise this place is useless to me.
