Confirmation came in last November that Satine owner Jeannie Lee would be moving her West 3rd Street boutique across the street to the expansive two-level space at 8132 West 3rd, right next to the returning Doughboys. Now, Lee is on track to open this Saturday, September 5.

I caught up with her last night, and she gave me a quick tour around the nearly-complete store (shown here in late June)—awash in white with industrial floors, spacious dressing rooms wallpapered in pretty florals, and a milky blue staircase at center-rear leading to an area where Lee will feature art exhibits. (Lee’s been working with an NYC curator to bring the first show, featuring an artist who is heavily music inspired—think punk, paint and vinyl album jackets.) From the exhibit space, you have a birds-eye view to a black-and-white checkered floor below, which will be a shop-in-shop for celeb stylist Andrea Lieberman’s collection, A.L.C.

Racks, furniture, and shelving have already been moved in, though there’s still a bit of wallpapering and details to hem up before moving the clothes in and then, merchandising the boutique. “We have some late nights and early mornings ahead,” Lee said, “but we’ll be ready Saturday.”

The exterior this way…
