Shelter Furniture has left its 7920 Beverly Boulevard showroom space, and will temporarily be doing business out of its production facility at 2939 East Pico Boulevard. A note on Shelter’s site wants to make it clear that the furniture purveyor is not going out of business, but is “going through an important transition and changing with the times…You can look forward to seeing Shelter in a new showroom in the near future.” Part of the transition plan also includes expanding its reach: “We are looking for new channels and are looking to work with new partners with a like-minded aesthetic so that we can grow our presence locally and nationally.” I’ve definitely admired various tables, chairs and other modern basics over the years at Shelter, all of which were very nice and well out of personal financial range…
