Intriguing news on the retail front. Fashion vet Gale Parker—she was Vogue’s youngest fashion editor, a design director for Ralph Lauren women’s collection, and a muse for Valentino, Warhol and YSL—is set to open Clothespin at 8654 Melrose Avenue, on the stretch between Balenciaga and Alberta Ferretti, on November 6.

Parker, formerly married to sustainable architect Sim Van der Ryn, keeps the environment in mind with her collection of one-of-a-kind dresses, blouses and skirts made from never-worn vintage fabrics from across the globe. Each pattern is used only once. The boutique will also carry Parker’s selection of vintage dresses and accessories. I like Parker’s model choice shown above, who wears the designer’s feminine floral pieces with all the right curves.

Beautiful clothes, really classic and elegant, so feminine.
