Unseasonable 80-degree weather set the stage for Samora’s “Africa meets the romance of Casablanca” Spring 2010 shown outside at the Sunset Tower Hotel terrace. The women’s and men’s 28-piece collection showcased easy, wearable elements (sand knit wrap dress, linen pants, raglan sleeve tunic dress) in desert colors, perfect for those quick holiday getaways.
Pretty tie-dye, turbans and more this way…

The cinnamon jersey hoodie dress and the tie-dye silk dress added a fun punch of color. Not sure how well the men’s white linen suit with pointy hems and topped with a turban (yup, didn’t need the turban, totally got the gist) will play out.
On a side note, Purple Rain’s Apollonia Kotero was in the front row and all I wanted to do was sing “I’m a sex shooter” to her, but I digress. Local brand Seychelles Footwear provided the shoes, which by the way, I so want the cute nude Mary Jane pumps.

Uuugh! Purely awful. The models look more disinterested than the scarce crowd.
