There was an overall festive mood Tuesday night at Petro Zillia on West 3rd, where labels Smoke & Mirrors, Karen Zambos, Petro Zillia, Noir Jewelry and Sigerson Morrison came together for a collab runway show, featuring current-season offerings for editors, stylists, and, most importantly, customers.
Everything shown on the runway was immediately available for purchase that night. The combination of flirty dresses, cozy knits, sequined tunics, blazers and booties, and layered statement necklaces seemed to do the trick, as the register was definitely on duty post show.
Check the looks, the shopping scene and more…

One small complaint—it would’ve been fantastic if there had been sheets identifying each look’s pieces with prices. If you were familiar with the labels, you could identify some but not all.
Post show, the models mingled with the crowd to discuss the pieces with customers, some with impressive selling skills.

Petro Zillia designer Nony Tochterman has been a LA Fashion Week mainstay, so her retail approach this season is noteworthy. We’ve seen these sort of current season showcases put on by designers like DVF and 3.1 Phillip Lim for American Express cardholders in NYC, but Tuesday’s presentation was that much more accessible, open to whomever wanted to attend, take in the pretty looks, nibble on Kiss My Bundt goodies and tequila cocktails.
There’s been so much question about what LA Fashion Week should be, with designers struggling to find their way, and this seems like a savvy negotiation of the current landscape. Cheers! I hope Nony does it again!
