A fashion-y crowd came out last night for the launch of Rachel Pally’s pop-up shop at 456 South La Brea Avenue, where the designer’s flattering jersey creations (dresses long and short, tunics and tops, sexy jumpers) line long white walls, leading to an exposed brick lofted space at back. While it’s sad to have lost go-to card shop Pulp at the location, I couldn’t be happier about Pally moving in. She’s never had a boutique, and it would nice if this morphs from a several month pop-up to a permanent shop.

Amy Smart hosted the event in a saturated purple dress from Pally’s holiday 2009 collection, while the designer looked with-the-mostess in a long, black one-shouldered number of her own design.

The shop is now officially open for biz Mon-Sat 11am-7pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm, currently stocked with fall and holiday collections, plus a sale loft, featuring up to 50% off spring and summer offerings.
