B+S Wants—Melissa Ashanti Booties

No joke, I get an insane amount of compliments on my Melissa flats—the ethically- and sustainably-minded shoe brand from Brazil, which collabs with genius artists, ranging from Zaha Hadid to Vivienne Westwood. I have a round-toe pair with cut-out and a pointy pair from Melissa’s collab with Alexandre Herchcovitch, both ridiculously comfortably and easy to clean (I take ‘em outside with Woolite and a hose).

I came across the Ashanti Booties the other day at Tobi.com and have been thinking about the glossy pair ever since, standing 3 1/2 inches with a small hidden platform and cushioned plastic insole. At $120, the ankle-grazers are less than you’d usually spend on booties, but having gone to São Paulo and knowing how much less they’d be there—eeesh!—it makes me wish I could buy the Ashantis in person…maybe Rio…

A bunch of new Melissa shoes just arrived (including some Vivienne Westwoods) at Shoplarousse.com. Definitely worth checking out. If you enter INDUSTRY20 at check out you can save an additional 20% too. It’s some new coupon code for fashion bloggers. And the Ashanis are on sale!!
