Decadestwo offerings hitting Post26 next week

Pop-up shops of a rather refined variety are flooding November. First up, Social Primer—that etiquette site on all things related to “Manners, Conversation, Style & Handling Your Liquor”—has already set up shop at Alpha at 8625 Melrose Avenue through December 31. Per SP, the shop-in-shop includes well-priced “made-to-order offerings including monogrammed stationery, playing cards, drinks coasters and napkins, soaps, and belts…Vintage books, antiques and art,” as well as SP reversible bow ties, only avail online via SP or in-store at Alpha. Cooper Ray, SP’s founder, will be in-store Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12pm-4pm, offering up his expertise and assistance to customers.

Anya Hindmarch’s 118 South Robertson Street boutique will be hosting Culver City’s Platine Bakery Thursday, November 12—Saturday, November 14 from 11am-7pm for tea and miniature sweets created to complement Hindmarch’s autumn/winter 2009 collection. Cafe style seating will be set up for nibbling on Bite-size Pumpkin Cheesecakes, Caramel Top Brownies, Tri- layer Custard Shots, Chocolate Baby Cakes, Organic Apple and Pecan/Pumpkin Pies. But, of course, shopping is on the agenda too, with 15% off proceeds from Anya Hindmarch sales going to CoachArt, a non-profit which provides personal lessons in arts and athletics to underprivileged kids with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. CoachArt children will be helping in the prep of the Platine goods and decorating AH totes for the event. And if attendees would like to sign up to volunteer with CoachArt, all the better!

Thursday, November 12—Sunday, November 15, Decadestwo will be bringing its pre-owned designer and couture clothing and accessories (culled from the closets of celebs and stylists) to Post26 at Brentwood Country Mart (225 West 26th Street), with promises of replenished stock each day. Thursday marks the VIP client opening, but if you don’t get an invite, the pop-up opens to the public Friday-Sunday.
