I have a confession to make. I’ve never been to the Brentwood Country Mart . I know. Bad, fashionista, bad! So when I heard that the designer consignment boutique Decadestwo set up a pop-up shop at the Mart, I was more than happy to head out west for a fashionable road trip and a grand opening/shopping party hosted by Style Section LA.
Located above the loft space in the stylish retail store Post26, Decadestwo created a smaller version of their Melrose Avenue shop complete with tons of designer shoes, dresses, coats, and handbags. One thing I love about Decadestwo is the varied price points you can find (that and being able to catch up with Megan Anton, the best Decades shop girl ever!). I found a simple but gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent dress for under $300 and a cocktail dress from Hanii Y for just $175. And of course, there was enough Chanel to make Lily Allen-wannabes salivate.
What Decadestwo’ Christos Garkinos has to say about popping up, Post26’s Jeannine Braden’s $6,000 story, and the merch!

“I’m a limited-term person. I want to get in and get out,” says Decadestwo co-owner Christos Garkinos when asked if he was scouting for a permanent Westside location. Their recent pop-ups in New York where a massive hit, with retail still going steady and strong.

Christos Garkinos and Jeannine Braden
Post26 owner Jeannine Braden, who has known the Decades owners for years and was more than happy to collaborate with them, adds how Decadestwo costumers are seriously addicted to purchasing luxury brands at a cost. “One costumer said she came over to mail a letter and ended up spending $6,000,” she says.
Decadestwo will end their Westside visit on Sunday where designer shoes (think Prada, Louboutins, Manolos) will go on a deep markdown of $150 and below. “It’s going to be madness,” Garkinos warns. “Our shoes are our fashion crack.”
OK, all you fiends, head to 226 26th Street in Brentwood to get your sole and apparel fix. Friday-Saturday, 10am-7pm. Sunday, 12pm-5pm.
