The space at 8207A West 3rd Street, just east of Toast, has been empty since Kenneth Wingard closed shop back in April. Tt Collection moved in last week and plans to be there at least till the end of the 2009, a sort of trial period to see how it goes.
A brand known for its soft tees ($54-$90) and underpinnings ($54-$62) with triple-binding detail at the neckline (and sold at boutiques such as Intermix, Diavolina and Des Kohan), designer Tiffany Saidnia said this is an opportunity to make shoppers more aware of her full ready-to-wear collection ($120-$380), a feminine and flirty line in cotton, silk and lace. Saidnia also utilizes a skinny-stretch Spanx-like fabric on dresses, pants and jumpers, particularly forgiving to the holiday season.
And, special to the store, the designer’s offering a $100 or less wall, many items discounted from their usual retail price. Nice touches include a small gold charm logo stitched to each piece, and adorably boxed tanks ready for gifting.

[...] Tt Collection’s pop up has popped down (just east of Toast), and Tide’s ‘Style is an option. Clean is not.’ campaign has taken its place, also covering the former Rodan vs Griffith storefront. Curious how that sum compares to a month of rent for the property owner…any knowledgeable ad sales peeps out there have an idea? Before the economy took a dive, word was that the RvsG space was $8,000/month. [...]
