Jewelry designer Dominique Cohen—whose 18kt precious stones and pearls collection goes into the five figures—has dipped her toe into affordable waters before with a collection for Target in 2007, and now Cohen’s brought a smidge of that affordability into her own boutique (as well as Saks and Neiman’s nationwide) with her sterling silver collection.
Ranging from $75-$1,100 (with “most items below $600″), the line offers bold chains, coin necklaces in multiple strands, nubby, textured pendants and earrings, and myriad hoop earrings you could wear everyday. Whereas her regular collection is all about layering, the sterling collection is all about statement pieces (guess so you don’t have to buy so many?). It goes to show you that “affordable” is relative—for some, under $500 fits the mark, for others (moi included), $100 and under fits the bill…so I can pay my bills. That being said, many pieces from the collection would make lovely, exceedingly wearable holiday gifts.
