If yo haven’t walked by lately, the former Zipper space at 8316 West 3rd Street (next door to shuttering Krisol) is now deep purple. Incoming tenants are husband and wife duo Michel Robba, a floral artist, and Marcela C. Mumet, an artist and writer, who moved from Miami Beach to LA this past August. Their idea is to combine their talents with Marcelita L’Art et Le Thé, a shop and tea salon, which will feature art, fresh and silk flowers, books, candles and perfumes for the home, tea and chocolates. Mumet says to expect a wide range of offerings at price points from $25-$10,000. They also hope to bring local artists into the mix. The goal is to open December 10, but the couple is waiting on some key shipments.
