Just a couple notes on the Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie and loungewear collection. First of all, given the lack of fanfare about a half-hour after opening on Saturday at the Beverly Center H&M, my guess is there’s still a fair amount of stock around town. I happened to be out and about early and stopped by to find about ten max people browsing and/or buying from the line.
Ranging mostly around $10-$50, the satiny, structured pieces in pale pink or gray colorblocked palettes were the most successful (bras, panties, high-waited boudoir knickers with zip up the back, bodysuit with snap closure), followed by the striped pieces (bras, panties, chemises). The lace pieces were very stiff and scratchy, which might be helped by washing. I wasn’t particularly impressed by the loungewear, although there was a pale pink top with a bit of rouching at the front which caught my attention. Also, the sizing is done in the regular 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. rather than cup size, which made me wonder about fit…

Was in H&M in SF’s Union Sq this wknd. The line is quite unattractive.

Some stuff was cute, but I agree that the lace was unappealingly scratchy enough that I didn’t even try any of it on. Also, there was some questionable rhinestone action, and the sizing was quite silly.
