BLACKBURN AND SWEETZER

Word  is chain Panini Cafe, which is also in Beverly Hills, is taking the place of the long-closed Splash Spa at the corner of West 3rd Street and Crescent Heights. Would prefer an affordable non-chain restaurant myself. Have never eaten there, so can’t make much of a culinary critique. Has anyone been/eaten there? Thoughts?

These are these new condos on Hayworth north of Beverly Boulevard—around the corner from the Shoe Pavilion. No word  on pricing that I can see on the site. Took these pics of the new Largo space at the Coronet Theater and the space looks so small compared to the original space on Fairfax. It’s looks like it’s less that 1,000-square-feet. Is this really going to be it?
