eh this place has awful cheesy decor and i can’t imagine it being that good. I’m pretty disappointed that this is going in (couldn’t doughboys expand there!), but alas it is better than the decrepit splash.

Oooooh. This is nice news. Shame they can’t make the parking lot bigger somehow. I have done many a battle with Hum Vs in that lot!

Whole Foods is taking over all of the space on the west side of the patio area. They have requested an expansion of their wine tasting permit to allow a larger area to be used once the expansion is done. It also looks like they will be extending their hours from 6 a.m. to Midnight, which will be good for the neighborhood night owls.

The new space will allow them to expand their produce and seafood sections, as well as spread out their aisles.

I love FIJI, and I’ve checked out their green initiatives. I really wish that people would do their research before making comments. FIJI is the first in its industry to make these types of steps and should be commended. Bring on the FIJI! If you’re so worried about bottled water in landfills have you stopped drinking soda and juice? Try recycling. It’s novel idea!

I agree that absolutely antything is better than the crumbling mess that’s there now.

I’m not sure if it’s unuseable because of parking problems, but it might be unuseable because of a decade of accumulated jacuzzi detrituts. It’s like you’d have to environmentally remediate the place to make it safe for food service!

I have eaten at the one in Beverly Hills a few times. The food is pretty good, I liked it. Especially if you are looking for a greek salad or kabab. They have a semi focus on organic and healthy choices and mediteranian foods.

I am glad that this is going in. However, I am confused cause I was talking to Ben who owns Quality and he said that Splash was unuseable cause there is no parking.

i’ve eaten at the one on ventura blvd. it’s not bad, pretty decent sandwiches. kinda reminds me of breadbar. they’re very big on the bread.
i think at this point anything is better than the seedy splash spa.
